Oats Moong Dal Chilla

Ingredients:

  • Moong dal- 1 katori (yellow)
  • Urad dal- ¼  Katori
  • Oats- ¼ Katori
  • Green chilli-1
  • Ginger small piece
  • Cabbage- ½  Katori
  • Carrot- ½ Katori
  • Turmeric powder- ¼  tsp
  • Chilli powder- ¼ tsp
  • Coriander leaves- 2 tbsp chopped
  • Oil- ¼ cup for roasting
  • Water- ¼ to ½ cup for grinding dal
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  • Soak moong dal and urad dal in water for 2 hours.
  • In a mixer, add the soaked dal, green chilli, ginger and oats. Grind them adding water as required to make a semi-liquid paste.
  • Transfer the paste into a bowl, add salt, turmeric powder and chilli powder. Set aside.
  • In a bowl, add grated cabbage, carrot and coriander leaves. Add salt and mix it
  • Spread the moong dal paste on non-stick tawa-like dosa. Sprinkle the mixture of cabbage on it.
  • Roast the pancakes on both sides adding oil as required.
  • Tasty moong dal oats chilla is ready to be served with dhania-pudina chutney.
