Palak Chana (Spinach and Chickpea Curry)
ಬೇಕಾಗುವ ಪದಾರ್ಥಗಳು:
- 1 cup boiled chickpeas (kabuli chana)
- 2 cups fresh spinach leaves (blanched and pureed)
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 small tomato, pureed
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- ½ tsp ಅರಿಶಿನ ಹುಡಿ
- ½ tsp cumin seeds
- ½ tsp ಕೊತ್ತಂಬರಿ ಹುಡಿ
- 1 tsp olive or mustard oil
- Salt (minimal)
- Water as required

ಮಾಡುವ ವಿಧಾನ:
- Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds; allow them to splutter
- Add chopped onion and sauté until light golden brown
- Stir in ginger-garlic paste and cook for 30–40 seconds
- Add tomato puree, turmeric, and coriander powder; cook until the mixture thickens slightly
- Add boiled chickpeas and mix well so they are coated with spices
- Pour in spinach puree and stir thoroughly
- Adjust salt and add a little water if needed for the desired consistency
- Simmer for 5–7 minutes until flavours blend well
- Serve warm with multigrain roti or a small portion of brown rice
